In Sri Lanka's lush wet zone, near the historic town of Balangoda, an extraordinary ecological restoration effort is underway. The Balangoda Restoration Project, led by Rainforest Protectors of Sri Lanka, is transforming degraded lands into thriving rainforest ecosystems—and volunteers worldwide are invited to be part of this regeneration story.
This isn't typical volunteering. It's an immersive journey into ecological restoration, rural life, and the profound connection between people and the natural world.
Why This Matters
