Alexandra Primary School

Alexandra Primary School welcomes its tamariki and whānau with a vision of "Deep learning in a safe and diverse environment". Located in Alexandra, Central Otago, New Zealand, our school caters for Year 0-8 ākonga (learners) and maintains strong community whanaungatanga (connections). The school is committed to fostering development in a holistic way through quality teaching practices and creating engaging learning environments where our tamariki (children) can succeed academically and personally. We place a strong emphasis on ako (teaching and learning) that is aligned with our local curriculum. Our local curriculum focuses on knowing our own tūrangawaewae and whakapapa, which contributes to our identity, and understanding the importance of mātauranga (Māori knowledge) and whānau and community connections.
