Round 3 live until July 21

The most direct way to fund nature's frontline

Ma Earth channels catalytic capital to community-led nature protection and restoration across 60+ countries. Right now, a $1M matching pool is amplifying every donation to 200 grassroots projects worldwide.

The gap

Nature's most effective stewards are the least funded.

Each year, over $7 trillion flows into activities that harm nature, while barely $200 billion goes toward restoring it (UNEP, State of Finance for Nature). And of that sliver, less than 1% of climate development aid reaches the local communities and Indigenous peoples who steward the majority of the world's remaining biodiversity.

The bottleneck isn't impact. It's infrastructure: sourcing, vetting, compliance, transparency, and cross-border payments. That's the infrastructure we're building.

Three ways to fund the work

1

Power the matching pool

Matching funds are distributed through quadratic funding, so your contribution also unlocks thousands of smaller donations from people who give because the match exists.

2

Back the stretch goal

Your funds are shared evenly across all projects, but only if the $500K collective goal is reached. A cooperative counterweight to quadratic funding: everyone wins when the target is hit. We’ve already reached our first $200K collective goal.

3

Build a direct portfolio

We'll shape a portfolio of projects around your geographic or thematic priorities, with 100% of your funds reaching recipients.

Legal disclaimer: Contributions become the charitable assets of Ma Earth Foundation, which exercises full discretion over all grants. Donor preferences are advisory, but not binding.

Give tax-efficiently, from anywhere

Ma Earth Foundation is a tax-exempt Swiss foundation based in Zug, structured for cross-border philanthropy.

Swiss taxpayers: directly tax-deductible (federal and cantonal limits apply)

US individuals & private foundations: give to our US 501(c)(3) partner, International Generosity Foundation, or your donor-advised fund

European & other jurisdictions: cross-border deductibility available in most countries via Trustbridge Global Foundation

Appreciated assets & crypto: securities and digital assets accepted, often the most tax-efficient way to give

Anonymous giving welcome. We'll work through the right structure with you and your advisors.

Why this
model works

Diligence you don't have to duplicate

Every project is vetted for legal standing, governance, track record, community mandate, and payment readiness. A pipeline that took years to build.

Low intermediation

A lean team, purpose-built payment rails, and no platform fee. Your funds go to the people doing the work.

Relationships, not black boxes

Meet the stewards. Visit the projects. Hear directly from the field.

Verifiable impact

A lasting record of what you made possible.

Every project and contribution is recorded on Certified, an interoperable data protocol documenting which work you funded, when, and alongside whom (unless you choose to give anonymously). Provenance for philanthropy:

Attribution: a public, permanent record of your role in specific outcomes

Transparency: each receipt links to the project, timeframe, and scope of work. No vague annual-report claims, no double counting

Catalytic: early adoption strengthens the network effects that high-quality impact funding will grow from

You don't need to engage with the technology at all. Your contribution simply helps seed the future of philanthropy.
