Alma Grande is rebuilding the relationship between people and nature along Mexico’s Gulf coast. Based in northern Veracruz, we protect and restore mangroves, coral systems, wetlands, and tropical forests threatened by climate change, biodiversity loss, and unsustainable development. Our model combines community-led restoration, science, emerging technologies, and regenerative economic opportunity into one scalable ecosystem solution. Working alongside local communities, CONANP, researchers, and international students, we are creating a living laboratory for coastal regeneration through biodiversity monitoring, blue carbon initiatives, environmental education, and conservation innovation. We believe the future of restoration is not only ecological — it is cultural, economic, and community-driven.
