Vetiver Bio-R

Vetiver Bio-R (Vetiver Bioremediation) is an independent, eco-social initiative founded by dedicated academics and environmental activists. It began as a small, community-driven project in Malaysia in 2014, growing organically from a passion for environmental conservation and hands-on engagement. In 2023, the initiative expanded to Thailand through collaboration with Mae Fah Luang University (MFU), extending its reach across the ASEAN region. As a self-initiated grassroots group, we implement projects when opportunities arise, often through citizen science approaches that actively involve local communities. Our work focuses on land restoration, community empowerment, and climate action, using nature-based solutions (NbS) to deliver practical, low-cost, and sustainable environmental impact while promoting long-term resilience in vulnerable landscapes.
