SAVE THE PLANET CENTER Transforming territories, restoring ecosystems, and empowering communities to save present and future generations from poverty and planetary disruptions. Our vision is to contribute to building a climate-resilient world where restored ecosystems sustain prosperous rural communities capable of ensuring food security, carbon sequestration, and biodiversity conservation in a sustainable manner. Our mission is to design, test, and scale innovative ecological restoration and community development solutions grounded in science, local knowledge, and collective action, in order to build regenerative rural economies capable of addressing the climate and social challenges of the twenty-first century.
Since 2022, SAVE THE PLANET CENTER has championed sustainable development across five interconnected areas: watershed restoration, agricultural regeneration, carbon sequestration, biodiversity conservation, and household empowerment.
Now, we're launching an innovative project in South Kivu, DRC that brings these values to life. We're introducing soilless oyster mushroom cultivation to empower vulnerable women and girls in Buzi-Bulenga, giving them a pathway out of poverty.
Here's what we're building:
Two production units that will serve as hubs for sustainable livelihoods and community engagement.
Training for 30 beneficiaries, including female heads of households, single mothers, and people with disabilities—ensuring no one is left behind.
Zero-waste agriculture that transforms organic agricultural waste into valuable resources.
The result? Participants gain reliable income, develop new skills, and strengthen their communities from within. By combining innovative farming techniques with genuine support for society's most vulnerable members, we're creating lasting change rooted in resilience and dignity.
Join us in turning possibility into prosperity.
