Baringo County Conservancies Association (BCCA) is a registered landscape-level association established in 2017 under the Societies Act of Kenya (Cap 108), registration No. SOC/75373. BCCA operates across the entire Baringo County, spanning approximately 1,107,500Ha (11,075 km) and it promotes Integrated Landscape Management (ILM) approach that brings together diverse community-led natural resource institutions including conservancies, Community Forest Associations (CFAs), Water Resource Users Associations (WRUAs), Beach Management Units (BMUs) and geosites. It implements programs including capacity development for community-led conservation, and adaptive management for resilient landscapes, as well as land restoration initiatives through partnerships with international development organizations. The conservancies serve local communities by restoring degraded landscapes, facilitating peaceful coexistence, and promoting equitable benefit sharing of natural resources.
