Foundation Urban Street Forest

Urban Street Forest was founded by Raymond Brouwers, an Engineer in Forestry and Nature Management. We have a four-membered board with an international background (Amsterdam/Zurich/Murcia) and are supported by a small, international team of freelancers. We plant trees across Europe, with a special focus on the semi-arid southeast of Spain, and in Africa through partnerships with local organizations in Uganda and Tanzania. Our work combines ecosystem restoration, biodiversity conservation, and community engagement to create lasting environmental and social impact. We plant trees with local farmers, communities, schools, and partner organizations, provide education about the importance of tree planting, and GPS track trees with planting information to allow for impact monitoring. For our agroforestry projects in Uganda we work with local people and select fruit/nut-bearing and native species to restore biodiversity, improve food security and strengthen local economies.
