Maasai Girl Initiative

Maasai Girls Initiative is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering Maasai girls and women in pastrolists counties i.e. Narok Kajiado,Samburu, Laikipia and Baringo in Kenya through education, mentorship and advocacy while championing climate-smart and sustainable practices that protect the environment. The organization trains communities in beekeeping, goat and poultry keeping, kitchen gardening, agroforestry with tree planting and fruit trees, and mushroom farming. Through menstrual hygiene management training and economic empowerment programs including beadwork, the organization works to eliminate stigma and combat poverty that leads to early child marriage and retrogressive culture like FGM.
