Nonprofit

Founded in 2014, SOPRODE (Solidarity for the Protection of Children's Rights) is a civil society organization based in Democratic Republic of the Congo. We work with local communities to restore degraded lands, promote agroecology and agroforestry, advance sustainable waste management, and strengthen climate resilience. Our team consists of young professionals, community mobilizers, farmers, women leaders, and volunteers committed to environmental protection and sustainable development. We work closely with schools, local communities, civil society organizations, and local authorities to implement solutions tailored to local needs. Through our actions, we contribute to ecosystem restoration, biodiversity conservation, improved livelihoods, and stronger community engagement for a more sustainable future.

Project story

In eastern DRC, SOPRODE works with schools, farmers and local communities to restore degraded lands through agroforestry, agroecology and erosion control. Funding will support tree planting, community training and ecosystem restoration, strengthening biodiversity, livelihoods and climate resilience while addressing land degradation and environmental challenges.
