About
Skill-Upseed Africa is a Ugandan community-led organisation turning degraded land into food, livelihoods and thriving ecosystems. Led by Wobayila Amos Wesimika and a multidisciplinary team in agriculture, biological sciences, natural resources, agroforestry and permaculture, we work with farmers, women and youth to restore soils, plant trees, protect biodiversity and build climate-resilient livelihoods. Our 5-acre demonstration farm in Kamutur, Bukedea, practical restoration experience in the Mt Elgon landscape, and community-based approach provide a foundation for scaling. We combine permaculture, regenerative agriculture, agroforestry, tree planting and skills development so restoration becomes an economic opportunity—not a one-time planting exercise. With support, we can equip more communities to restore their land, grow nutritious food and build sustainable incomes while regenerating Uganda’s ecosystems.
