NonprofitThe organisation was formed in 2022 by kukundakwe Flavia, a mother of 3 children to economically empower other women and girls especially the young mothers, those who dropped out of school and those that did not get an opportunity to go to school. disabled persons were always under looked and taken to be of no importance to the community, they have limited access to the resources in the community, due to the inclusiveness nature of the organisation, flavia also involved the disabled persons as she believed that they have the ability and their economic participation rights must be respected, the group started by doing simple craft work like baskets, carions, bags and even simple craft shoes out of old tryes, members have organised into a strong group that has helped them mobilize for more resources to relieve the environment from gabbage and therefore the main reason for the creation organisation is to advocate for full women and disabled persons to defend the environment in her work.
Project story
Zero plastic,community plastic flakes recycling for environment, free growth of vegetation for the next generation and jobs for women and disabled, the project will introduce in Kamwenge this a district where most of the population is relocated of recent it has a polutaion of people moving from western Uganda who move with a heart and mind of we shall return back to our Districts after working some money even other being refugee from neighbouring camps, Kamwenge generates 3-5 tons of solid waste a day 55% being plastic bottles, jerrycans that block drainages, thrown in gardens as kamwenge being known for cereals production the land is getting to high plastic disposal the project will focus on introducing the best management, collectors of unsorted plstics earn 3000 UGX this scare aware collectors and introducing sorted collection will double the earning and contrubite to the management of plastic disposal on land. the project goal is to transform waste into a clean income generating resource to protect soil, water and the eco-system of the food production district in Uganda and community health through flake production.
