Amira Academy

Amira Academy is a non-governmental organization based in Jambi with operational areas across Sumatra. The organization focuses on strengthening the capacity of vulnerable and marginalized communities, including Indigenous peoples, women farmer groups, persons with disabilities, and other minority groups, by improving equitable access to information, knowledge, and sustainable livelihood opportunities. Through community empowerment, training, mentoring, and local economic development initiatives, Amira Academy supports communities in achieving long-term financial independence while promoting climate justice and environmental sustainability. The organization believes that inclusive development must go hand in hand with the protection of natural resources, social equity, and the recognition of local and Indigenous rights.
