Growing resilience: nature connection for young Londoners

United Kingdom
Education, Restoration, Community
LE
Letting Grow
United Kingdom
Nonprofit

Letting Grow is a London-based charity that connects young people to nature to improve wellbeing, build life skills, and reduce risk of harm. Our core aim is to support children and young people—particularly those at risk of exclusion, exploitation, or involvement in violence—to develop confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging through structured, hands-on engagement with the natural environment. We curate workshops, courses and away days for inner-city schools and urban communities to improve people’s connection with nature. Creating accessible green spaces is at the heart of what we do. We have transformed unused areas in playgrounds into thriving allotments, grown fruit and vegetables for school kitchens, and delivered large-scale tree planting initiatives that engage local communities.
