Rwenzori Trust for Community Development (RWETCODE) is a non-profit, non-political, non-governmental but a development driven organization which started in 2013 by committed men and women from Kasese district- Uganda, who had realized the need to set up a support group that would help women, youth and children understand their rights and empower their families to challenge issues of health, economic, environment, education and rights.. The organization was formed to focus on women, youth and children who are vulnerable so that they can be able to realize their full potential. Our services are delivered through a community, facility and family-oriented intervention model. Our mission is to create an enabling environment in Uganda where poor and marginalized women, youth and their families actively participate to foster development through economic empowerment, rights and advocacy, holistic education, reproductive health, HIV & AIDS and environmental conservation.

Project story

Training farmers to grow  red pepper as  a HEC ( human elephant conflict) strategy to reduce the death rate of elephants and crop damage.
