Quantum Cacao’s Heirloom Seed Saving + Wellness Sanctuary in Costa Rica
Quantum Cacao combines regenerative farming practices with modern technology to amplify the brilliance of heirloom cacao beans and make superfood chocolate. Founded by Andrew Sealy, an internationally recognized wellness activist, yoga artist, and cacao enthusiast; the Quantum Cacao team offers a fresh approach to building conscious community while making chocolate a gateway superfood to regenerative living. With live music and art experiences at the Quantum Cacao Cafe, heirloom cacao tree planting initiatives in the local community; Quantum Cacao is becoming a sanctuary for full spectrum education and healing. QC offers permaculture workshops, heirloom species cacao tastings, and syntropic farm tours. The organization prioritizes sustainable living and regenerative practices, while building thriving ecosystems that foster community, connection, and coherence across the local bio region of Osa Peninsula Costa Rica and across global RL and online platforms.
Project story
Quantum Cacao Vision
Quantum Cacao Sanctuary is a example of how old growth rainforest regeneration, heirloom cacao preservation, wellness education, and ethical chocolate production can work as a regenerative blueprint for conscious community building.
We are creating a place where visitors can walk the land, learn about cacao growing, participate in seed saving, become aware of the importance of soil health, witness biodiversity, and realize the importance of how food, ecology, and wellness are connected.
Quantum Cacao Sanctuary is a regenerative farm, an animal sanctuary, and a living classroom for syntropic agroforestry.
It is a place where people can see how chocolate begins, how soil becomes nourishment, how biodiversity supports human health, and how regenerative agriculture creates abundance in partnership with the living world.
Community Impact
Quantum Cacao Sanctuary supports the community through education, wellness, ethical agriculture, local employment, and regenerative tourism.
Our retreats and farm experiences invite people to reconnect with nature through cacao, herbal elixirs, farm to fork cuisine, meditative spaces, sound experiences, yoga, hiking, spa treatments, and direct education on regenerative land stewardship.
Every person who visits the sanctuary leaves with a deeper relationship to food, plants, soil, and the living world. This creates a ripple effect. Visitors become advocates. Chocolate customers become more conscious consumers. Local collaborators gain new opportunities. The land becomes healthier. The community grows stronger.
Funding Request
We are seeking support to expand our regenerative cacao and biodiversity restoration work at Quantum Cacao Sanctuary.
Requested funding will help us plant more heirloom cacao trees, preserve seed genetics, complete genetic reporting, increase biodiversity, monitor the living soundscape of the farm, and create educational pathways for visitors and community members to become active participants in regeneration.
What We Will Do With Funding
Ma Earth funding would directly support the next stage of Quantum Cacao Sanctuary’s regenerative land work.
Funds will be used for:
Heirloom Cacao Seed Saving and Tree Planting
We will collect, preserve, and plant more heirloom cacao seeds from our strongest trees, expanding genetic diversity and increasing long term food sovereignty.Genetic Reporting of Existing Cacao Trees
We will conduct a genetic study of the cacao trees currently growing on the farm. This will help us better understand, document, and protect the heirloom genetics present on the land.Soil Health and Biodiversity Enhancement
We will strengthen soil vitality through regenerative practices, composting, mulching, companion planting, and the continued integration of diverse tropical species that support cacao health and habitat restoration.Soundscape Ecology Monitoring
We will begin recording the farm’s biodiversity through dawn, morning, noon, dusk, and evening soundscape recordings. These recordings will help us track the presence and increase of birds, insects, amphibians, and other species as the farm continues to regenerate.Agroforestry Education and Citizen Science
We will create educational programming that helps visitors, volunteers, students, and community members learn how food sovereignty, biodiversity, soil health, and human wellbeing are connected.Farm to Fork and Bean to Bar Demonstration
We will expand the visitor experience so people can understand the complete regenerative cycle from cacao seed to chocolate bar, and from farm grown ingredients to nourishing meals.
Why This Matters
Cacao is one of the most powerful crops for telling the story of regeneration. It grows in relationship with shade trees, tropical fruit, fungi, pollinators, birds, and healthy soil systems. When cultivated with care, cacao supports rainforest regeneration, habitat restoration, and local economic resilience.
At Quantum Cacao, we believe food is at the center of the web of life. When people understand where their food comes from, they make better choices. When farmers protect seeds, soil, and biodiversity, communities become more resilient. When cacao is grown with integrity, chocolate becomes a vehicle for ecological awareness, cultural connection, and regenerative economics.
This project allows us to turn a working heirloom cacao farm into a measurable, educational, and replicable model of regeneration.

Measurable Outcomes
With support from Ma Earth, we will track and share the following outcomes on a monthly basis:
• Quantity of heirloom cacao seeds saved
• Number of new Heirloom Cacao trees planted
• Number of companion plant species planted
• Completion of Cacao genetic reporting
• Soil health improvements through regenerative inputs and observation
• Biodiversity changes documented through soundscape ecology recordings
• Number of educational farm visitors and retreat participants
• Number of citizen science participants engaged
• Amount of cacao harvested and processed through our tree to bar model
• New educational materials created for our “Health is True Wealth” program, land stewardship and cacao regeneration
Quantum Cacao Sanctuary is a living commitment to the future of food, land, and community.
We are asking Ma Earth to support this work because our mission is deeply aligned with planetary regeneration. We are making chocolate, protecting seeds, restoring soil, cultivating biodiversity, educating people, and building a sanctuary where the connection between land and life can be felt directly.
With your support, we can grow more trees, protect heirloom cacao genetics, document ecological regeneration, and share this model with our indigenous land steward neighbors, and people from all walks of life who aim to make a positive impact.
Quantum Cacao is ready to become a stronger more supported living example of regenerative agriculture, food sovereignty, rainforest stewardship, wellness, and community woven together with integrity.
