SALI-CBO (Save A life Initiative) is a community-based organization committed to improving livelihoods while restoring and protecting the environment. We work with farmers, youth, women, and local communities to promote sustainable agriculture, agroforestry, biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, and ecosystem restoration. Our organization is led by a dedicated team of community development practitioners, environmental conservationists, and local leaders who are passionate about creating lasting positive change. By combining local knowledge with innovative and science-based approaches, we help communities adopt regenerative agricultural practices, establish tree nurseries, restore degraded landscapes, and strengthen food security. Through partnerships with stakeholders, researchers, and development organizations, SALI-CBO supports initiatives that enhance biodiversity, improve household incomes, build climate resilience, and promote sustainable natural resource management. We
Restoring Landscapes, Reviving Livelihoods
Our region faces a crisis. Years of deforestation and unsustainable practices have devastated landscapes, stripped away biodiversity, and left farming communities struggling to survive. Soil fertility has plummeted, indigenous trees have vanished, and water sources are drying up—forcing farmers into an impossible struggle.
SALI-CBO was founded to reverse this decline. We're working directly with farmers, youth, and women to regenerate degraded ecosystems through indigenous tree planting, agroforestry, and regenerative agriculture. Our community tree nurseries produce climate-resilient seedlings while building local economic opportunities.
How We Create Change
We believe thriving communities and healthy ecosystems are inseparable. By restoring soil health, increasing biodiversity, and enhancing water retention, we're simultaneously strengthening climate resilience and creating sustainable livelihoods that will benefit generations to come.
What Your Support Enables
Your funding directly supports:
Establishing and maintaining community tree nurseries
Sourcing quality indigenous seeds
Training farmers in sustainable practices
Expanding restoration to new communities
Despite limited resources, our communities remain committed to reclaiming their land. With your partnership, we can accelerate restoration, protect biodiversity, and build landscapes that truly thrive—where both people and nature flourish together.
