Mother Earth Initiative

Mother Earth Initiative is a grassroots environmental initiative based in Malawi focused on restoring ecosystems, promoting climate action, and building more sustainable communities through hands-on environmental work. The initiative works in areas such as tree planting, waste management, regenerative agriculture, mushroom production, environmental education, and community engagement. A key focus is working with young people and rural communities who are often most affected by climate change, helping them adopt practical solutions that improve both the environment and livelihoods. We are driven by the belief that real environmental change happens through consistent action at community level. Through our 365 Days Tree Planting Challenge, we mobilize communities to plant and care for trees, while also encouraging practices like composting, recycling, organic farming, and mushroom cultivation.
