About

Minga Reforestation Project is a sustainable reforestation project in one of the world's most biodiverse regions in northern Ecuador. Founded in 2021, the organization developed this project to reforest degraded areas with the mission of planting at least a million trees. The project protects the incredibly high biodiversity of the world's most endangered rainforest while helping to create jobs in a region where there are very few jobs. Minga plants at least 80 native tree species per hectare in partnership with the Dracula Reserve, an approximately 20 square kilometer nature reserve founded by our local partner NGO Fundación EcoMinga, where our funding money would go to directly.
