Desiring Machines is a movement, creative design studio, interventionist lab, and business advisory ~ in action ~ solving for the world's greatest challenges. We operate on the principle of 感動 (gǎn dòng) ... "having the bravery to move." We are a team of 10,000+ at all times catalyzed by an artist-forward ethos shaping the future. Goodness is a spiritual muscle that we train through a collective immune system. We move fast and fix things. We love to play. Our material includes technology as an ethic, earth as architecture, and the prowess of AI beyond materialist culture. Life for us is based on curiosity. "I want to know the answer" leads to realizing the answer is actually another question. Together we are an ideas agency with rationalist radical sensibilities from commonwealth to cosmos. This includes human and nonhuman intelligences desirous of coherence and integration through a deep understanding of consciousness.
Project story
We are an artist-led creative laboratory dedicated to reimagining our relationship with the natural world. Our mission is to develop innovative regenerative solutions that restore both ecosystems and human creativity.
We believe that artists are uniquely positioned to imagine and build a healthier future. By combining artistic vision with ecological science, we explore new ways of thinking about environmental recovery and community resilience.
Our work focuses on three interconnected areas:
Regenerative Solutions – We design practical approaches to environmental healing that benefit both nature and people.
Ecosystem Recovery – We support the restoration of natural systems through research, collaboration, and creative experimentation.
Intelligence & Renewal – We foster a culture of learning and innovation that strengthens communities and builds collective wisdom.
At our core, we're committed to the common good. We believe that by bringing artists, scientists, and community members together, we can create meaningful change—one project, one collaboration, one regenerated space at a time.
