Mboni ya Vijana (The Eyes of the Youth) is a volunteer-run grassroots community non-profit organisation in Kigoma, Tanzania, taking action for a better world for its youth. The organization addresses challenges facing rural communities including poverty, food insecurity, environmental degradation, and the impacts of climate change. The organization believes everyone has the right to life's basics: a roof, enough food to eat, clean water to drink, and education to build a brighter future.

Project story

Integrated Sustainable Initiative

Imagine a future where rural families thrive through their own land, growing abundant food while protecting the environment for generations to come. That's the vision behind the Integrated Sustainable Initiative.

We're transforming communities through sustainable agriculture—empowering smallholder farmers to achieve food security and lift themselves out of extreme poverty. Our comprehensive approach includes:

What We Do:

  • Grow and distribute quality seedlings

  • Provide farmer training on sustainable practices

  • Install water pumps and drilling systems

  • Plant and conserve trees for environmental protection

By combining practical resources with education, we're creating lasting change. Farmers gain the knowledge and tools they need to increase yields, improve their families' nutrition, and build resilient livelihoods. Meanwhile, tree conservation efforts combat climate change and restore ecosystems.

This isn't just about agriculture—it's about dignity, sustainability, and hope. Together, we can help rural communities flourish while safeguarding the environment. Join us in making this vision real.
