I work as Grant Coordinator at the Black Jaguar Foundation, in close alignment with field operations. I believe that supporting the realisation the Araguaia Biodiversity Corridor is not just an environmental act but an economic opportunity.

The Black Jaguar Foundation (BJF) is a boots-on-the-ground organisation with one mission: to restore 1 million hectares by planting 1.7 billion native trees to realise the Araguaia Biodiversity Corridor. Stretching 2,600 kilometres along the Araguaia River, the corridor will reconnect two of the planet's most important biomes: the Amazon Rainforest and the Cerrado Savanna. At the core of BJF's mission is a 17-step ecological restoration cycle, a cooperative, farmer-centred model built around four pillars: community, science, planting, and long-term care. Operating within the requirements of the Brazilian Forest Code, the organisation works in partnership with farmers, providing the technical, financial, and legal assistance needed to ecologically restore environmental liabilities on rural properties. To ensure a quality supply of native seeds the project mobilises community members, while building capacity and investing to develop locally led restoration supply chain.
