Florent Kaiser

Global Forest Generation is a nonprofit organization working to support community-led ecosystem restoration and long-term climate resilience across the Andes through its flagship initiative, Acción Andina. Together with a network of local conservation partners and Indigenous communities in Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Chile, and Argentina, Acción Andina restores and protects native high-Andean forests and critical watershed ecosystems. The movement is grounded in traditional communal stewardship practices and a 100-year vision for ecological recovery. Local communities lead every stage of the work, from seed collection and nursery management to restoration, monitoring, and long-term protection. In recognition of its impact, Acción Andina was named a 2023 Earthshot Prize winner and a 2024 UN World Restoration Flagship.
