The Institute of Livelihood Research and Training (ILRT) is a not-for-profit praxis institution affiliated with Basix SEG, dedicated to promoting sustainable livelihoods among tribal, women, and marginalised Indian communities. For 16+ years, ILRT has delivered 200+ research studies, 500+ training programmes, and 50+ action research pilots across 20+ states. Our Pentagon strategy, research, capacity building, action research, technical assistance, and policy advocacy are now applied to a community biochar pilot at Udaisa village, Sidhi, converting invasive biomass into a soil-restoring enterprise owned by tribal farming families. ASDC Naturophilia Agrotech (Naturophilia), founded in 2022, provides sustainable solutions solving rural problems; doing research, documentation, & disseminating knowledge on sustainable livelihoods; deploying projects on soil rejuvenation, biochar-based products, natural farming, etc., by community-based experiential learning.
