Nonprofit

The Dry Farming Institute is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a mission to empower growers to thrive with less water. The organization advances sustainable agricultural practices by promoting dry farming and other water resilience techniques that reduce irrigation dependency and conserve water resources. Dry farming is crop production without irrigation during a dry season, typically in regions receiving at least 20 inches of annual rainfall. The Dry Farming Institute supports farmers and agricultural communities in adapting to climate change through engaging with regenerative agricultural practices while confronting water scarcity challenges while maintaining productive operations. Our work is founded on collaborative knowledge exchange with diverse communities while we aim to uplift hopeful stories of thriving with less water in a climate changed future.
