The Venture

The Venture is a youth-led, community-rooted initiative in Bio-Barrytown, Sierra Leone, transforming eco-anxiety into regenerative action. Founded in 2024 and operational since 2025 by young people who have lived through climate insecurity, we combine indigenous concepts with science-based approaches to restore ecosystems and livelihoods Our work focuses on large-scale Moringa and mangrove regeneration, land management, and skills-building for youth and marginalized groups through our Conserve, Educate, Regenerate model. We embed training in agroforestry, biodiversity-friendly irrigation directly into restoration, turning vulnerable residents into a green workforce With experience in biodiversity and environmental management, our team works alongside local councils and global youth networks. Recognized by the EU and the Big Six Global Youth Mobilisation, we have restored 2,500 Moringa and mangrove species across 3 coastal habitats, trained 150 youths, and created 25 local green jobs
