The New Mexico Bison Restoration Network

New Mexico, United States
Nonprofit

About

The New Mexico Bison Restoration Network is helmed by Maggie O'Knapp, regenerative farmer and restoration ecologist with over twenty years of experience restoring soil, enhancing biodiversity, developing community-based initiatives, organizing movements, improving policy, and sharing beautiful food. The NMBRN is supported by a board of accomplices working across fields of equitable civic policy, cultural revitalization, the fibershed movement, food justice & sovereignty, and documentary filmmaking. We also work closely and collaboratively with other stakeholders in rangeland restoration regionally, bison restoration across north America, and rewilding globally. Our partners are scientists and researchers, tribal organizations, land conservation organizations, and local people.
