Started in 2005 Community Mobilization Against Poverty –CMAP a grassroots non-profit organization, is focused on experimenting and rediscovering the practices and scientific values involved in the resource-conserving, life-giving and sustainable smaller-scale farming methods. We develop and disseminate realistic options for soil and crop productivity improvement. Our work is to aid farming families in western Kenya to live healthy and fulfilled lives by providing high value training and education in sustainable agriculture and related issues. Since 2005, CMAP has made progress in aiding at least 3000 subsistence farmers from 500 households to integrate promising technological options into their farming systems.
