Tanzania Sustainable nature Organization

Tanzania Sustainable Nature Organization (TASUNA) is a non-governmental organization working to protect and restore coastal and marine ecosystems in Bagamoyo, Tanzania. Our organization was founded in response to the growing environmental challenges affecting coastal communities, including mangrove destruction, plastic pollution, biodiversity loss, poor waste management, and the increasing impacts of climate change on livelihoods and marine resources. Our mission is to empower communities, especially young people and women, to become active stewards of nature through environmental education, ecosystem restoration, climate action, and sustainable livelihood initiatives. We believe that long-term conservation success can only be achieved when local communities are directly involved in protecting the natural resources they depend on. Our work focuses on mangrove restoration, coastal clean-up campaigns, environmental awareness, youth conservation initiatives, and community engagement.
