Suwareh Kunda Community Forest (Dalaba) Kafo

Suwareh Kunda Community Forest (Dalaba) Kafo is a Community Based Organization responsible for the management of Dalaba Community Forest. The mission of the organization is to conserve and sustainably utilise the community forest for the benefit of the present generartion without compromising its ability to meet the needs of future generartions. The community forest, belonging to Suwareh Kunda village, is situated in the North Bank Region of The Gambia and more precisely in the Lower Baddibu District. The forest centroid is located approximately 5 km north of Kerewan town, 3.5 km north of Sawareh Kunda village and 1 km northeast of Darusalam locality. The 49.9 ha forest is bounded by a narrow road all along its eastern side and by a tributary of the Miniminiyang Bolong stream at the western part. Its general shape is oblong with a general north-south development.
