About

Sé'Siwá Ecolodge and Cultural Center is an Indigenous family enterprise in Bribri-Cabécar territory of Talamanca. We are a cultural-spiritual bridge between 5,000 years of matrilineal Indigenous existence and Sikwa (non-Indigenous) visitors, through ethnotourism, ceremony, food sovereignty, and ecological stewardship. The team is family: Gamaliel Molina Díaz (Bleliwak clan) in communications, business, co-creator of Costa Rica's first National Indigenous Games (2018); his sister Rebeca in hospitality; their father Moya in agriculture and construction. Cousins, neighbors, awápa (spiritual leaders), and elders participate in our activities, with allies including the University for International Cooperation and ReFi Costa Rica. We live on 150 hectares inherited through our bloodline, of Black and Indigenous mixed ascendance, in territory historically targeted by banana plantations, land theft, and corporate and state pressure.
