About

The Robberg Coastal Corridor Protected Environment (RCCPE) safeguards an 18km coastal corridor along South Africa's Garden Route, part of the Cape Floral Kingdom, the smallest and most biodiverse of Earth's six floral kingdoms, and the Cradle of Human Culture, where our species first emerged. A registered NPO working across 19 landowner properties, the RCCPE reconnects fragmented ecosystems between two national protected areas, protecting Critically Endangered fynbos, Cape fur seals, and rich marine and coastal wildlife. We work hand in hand with the neighbouring Kranshoek community through education, skills and livelihoods, and open the landscape to people through trails that showcase its natural beauty. Stewarding a living bridge where biodiversity, cultural heritage and human belonging are protected together, our work is grounded in reciprocity: caring for the land that, in turn, sustains us.
