RISE Earth Initiative

RISE Earth Initiative is a Native Hawaiian-led advocacy organization focused on protecting the Ocean, advancing Indigenous and environmental justice, and educating future generations. We work at the intersection of Indigenous rights, environmental justice, sustainability, and cultural preservation. Founded on the principle that the Ocean is not a sacrifice zone, RISE combines research, public education, advocacy, and movement-building to elevate Indigenous knowledge and strengthen ocean stewardship. We work with frontline communities, scientists, legal experts, and advocates to confront destructive forms of extraction, protect biodiversity, and advance solutions that honor the interconnected well-being of people, place, and future generations.
