Permo Africa Training Centre

PermoAfrica Training Centre is a community-led permaculture and sustainability initiative in Homa Bay County, western Kenya. We work with smallholder farmers, women, youth, refugees, and vulnerable families to strengthen food security, environmental restoration, and climate resilience. Our Centre is a hands-on learning hub offering training in regenerative agriculture, ecological land care, and low-cost sustainable technologies. We run demonstration projects including permaculture gardens, aquaponics fish systems, biogas units, herbal medicine gardens, seed saving, and tree nurseries to improve nutrition, restore degraded land, and support livelihoods. Facing drought, soil degradation, and low productivity, communities often lack practical solutions. We respond through training and demonstration sites that build local skills, restore soils, strengthen food systems, and promote long-term resilience rooted in community action.
