Per Auset is a regenerative land initiative focused on restoring a once-abandoned Nubian landscape into a productive ecological and community system. The organization protects the Island from commercial hotel development while restoring ecology, culture, and community life in harmony with the island's ancient heritage.
Guided by ecological regeneration and local knowledge, our work includes soil restoration, tree planting, native vegetation, and food production adapted to the Nile environment. Water-conscious systems, including lotus ponds, support biodiversity and microclimates, alongside low-impact infrastructure and the revival of traditional Nubian building techniques.
The core team combines complementary expertise: Mostafa, a Nubian land steward with ancestral ecological knowledge; Jasmeen, a community facilitator focused on education and participation; and Christian, a permaculturist specializing in regenerative systems and infrastructure.
