NonprofitAbout
ONG OLA AFRICA is an NGO that defends the rights of pregnant women, nursing mothers, immigrant women and young girls who are victims of forced marriages. The organization also trains unemployed women and youth in entrepreneurship. OLA Africa promotes the rights and duties of women, youth, and children while also working to preserve the environment. In light of current global crises (climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss), its programs are now more specialized in strengthening the resilience of vulnerable and indigenous populations to climate change, contributing to biodiversity conservation in agriculture through research and teaching of sustainable farming practices, implementing reforestation, planting, and awareness campaigns on the importance of tree planting in mitigating climate change. The organization operates nationally and internationally, with primary activities focused in Benin in the departments of Alibori, Atacora, Borgou, Collines, and Donga.
