Lokiaka Community Development Centre

We are a registered women-led grassroots focused advocacy, capacity building, research and environmental restoration organization based in the Nigeria’s Niger Delta region. Lokiaka Community Development Centre's initiative was conceived by Ms Martha Agbani in 2003 and in 2009 it was incorporated and having indigenous peoples who are development practitioners as members of her trustees. The organization came into existence to address the burning concerns of women and girls from extractive rich communities that are facing environmental stresses associated with fossil fuel extraction and other environmental degradation challenges in Nigeria, especially the Niger Delta terrain.
