La Mujer Obrera

La Mujer Obrera is a community organization composed of working class, immigrant families, along the U.S./Mexico border, whose identity comes from the relationships we build with one another and the Earth. We organize against historical neglect while strengthening our collective capacity to envision and create an alternative culture and infrastructure which allows us to build a nurturing community. We focus our work in barrio Chamizal, a highly industrialized urban neighborhood with over 7,000 residents.
