BusinessAbout
Jiwa Garden is Canggu's last green stronghold and one of Bali's only truly inclusive third spaces. Founded on 4,800m² of reclaimed land in the middle of the island's most overdeveloped corridor, it's a community-powered permaculture hub that has composted over 1,500,000 kgs of organic waste, grown food, and taught regenerative agriculture to anyone willing to show up. But what makes Jiwa rare isn't just what it produces. It's what it holds. A place where locals, expats, kids, and elders gather freely to learn, share skills, swap seeds, and remember what it feels like to belong somewhere. Free community sessions sit alongside paid workshops and events, keeping access genuinely open across income levels. It's not just a garden. It's a proof of concept for the kind of Bali that's still worth fighting for.
