GROUPE D'INTERVENTION POUR L'ENCADREMENT ET LA REHABILITATION INTEGRALE

GIERI is a grassroots conservation and sustainable development organization operating in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, South Kivu Province, Africa. The organization enhances carbon storage through reforestation, conserves land for Indigenous Populations, provides trees for community forest growth, and develops agroforestry programs. Economic benefits from project activities are used to improve lives in the region, with focus on nutrition, sanitation, education and community services across the Shabunda region. GIERI also implements solar energy projects to improve electricity access and create employment for young people through renewable energy initiatives.
