Gosoapy group

GoSoapy was founded by out-of-school youth refugees settling in Nakivale Refugee Settlement Camp in Uganda, making it one of the very few social enterprises built inside a refugee camp, founded by refugees themselves. The organization trained disabled refugees in goat milk soap making and distributed 500 soaps to 450 vulnerable families to help decrease COVID-19 cases in their areas. In 2023, GoSoapy registered as a group of companies including GoSoapy Academy, which aims to skill and educate refugees through tailoring, craft, soap making, agriculture, financial literacy, and basketry. By providing women with a sustainable income source, the initiative promotes economic independence, fosters community bonds, and helps refugees rebuild their lives with dignity.
