Friends of The Land of Sky Regional Council, Inc

Land of Sky Regional Council is a multi-county planning and development organization serving Buncombe, Henderson, Madison, and Transylvania counties and their municipalities in North Carolina. Founded in 1966, the Council provides technical assistance to local governments and their partners, and administers projects and programs including economic and community development, transportation and mobility, workforce development, aging services and resources, and volunteer opportunities that benefit the region's residents and businesses.

Friends of The Land of Sky Regional Council is the non-profit arm of LOSRC, founded in 2020. It serves both the Council's departments and initiatives, and also provides a funding avenue to provide more direct service to individuals and to collaborate with community-based organizations that are not eligible for funding through many government-focused programs.
