Entelechy Ecovillage

Entelechy is an ecologically-minded community on Salt Spring Island comprised of about 20 long-term residents, plus work-stay friends and other guests. It was founded in 2018, and has 13.5 acres of second and third growth forest that is being regenerated into a healthy and bio-diverse ecosystem. Our community intends to be a sanctuary and a place of learning, where we practice and cultivate a genuine care for the natural world, it's human and non-human residents, and the local ecology. We are guided by three principles: Earth Care, People Care, and Fair Share. Our long-term vision is to realize a symbiosis between human settlements and a healthy natural ecosystem. We host education programs, maintain a work-stay program for people seeking hands-on experience in sustainable living, and run community events open to the broader Salt Spring Island community while also cultivating systems and infrastructure that both support, and is inspired by our guiding principals.
