Ecotopia Social Cooperative Enterprise

Ecotopia is a Social Cooperative Enterprise based in Kalochori, a small village in the Kalamas Valley in Epirus, Greece. Our mission is to support the ecological, social and cultural regeneration of rural communities through collective action, sustainable land use and community-based initiatives. We work to revive local life through the cooperative village café, organic and regenerative gardens, restoration of traditional stone houses, protection of paths and landscapes, preservation of traditional knowledge, and the creation of learning spaces around sustainability, agroecology, cultural heritage and community resilience. Ecotopia brings together residents, returnees, volunteers, visitors, researchers and local partners to build a practical model of rural revitalization rooted in solidarity, environmental care, intergenerational knowledge and democratic cooperation.
