The Ecosystem Forestry Development Association (EFDA) is a non-governmental organization based in Goba, Ethiopia, dedicated to safeguarding the unique biodiversity of the Afromontane ecosystems. Grounded in the heart of the Bale ecoregion, our mission is to reverse habitat fragmentation, protect endemic and endangered species, and foster climate-resilient communities. Through technical frameworks like Participatory Forest Management (PFM) and Other Effective Area-Based Conservation Measures (OECMs), we bridge the gap between rigorous conservation science and community-led environmental stewardship.
