COVA: Conservación, Vida y Agua (Conservation, Life and Water) works to expand access to clean water, increase treatment of wastewater, and contribute to restoration of water bodies through nature-based solutions in close collaboration with communities. The organization, based in Oaxaca, designs innovative methods using nature, such as wetlands and biofilters that require no electricity and use plants, organisms, bacteria and fungi to treat water. COVA is dedicated to the prevention and control of water and soil pollution, environmental protection, and restoration of ecological balance, actively collaborating with Oaxacan communities to promote water conservation and environmental care through various programs and projects.
