About

Cikananga Wildlife Centre is a non-governmental and non-profit organization for conserving Indonesian wildlife. The 16-acre rescue centre cares for over 450 wild animals, primarily from the illegal wildlife trade or habitat loss due to deforestation. Animals undergo health checks and rehabilitation before being released or translocated to specialized centres, with successful programs including species like Javan green Peafowl, Javan leopard cats, and various raptors. The organization also operates a Conservation Breeding Centre (CCBC) for threatened endemic species and a Sustainable Farming Program promoting regenerative agriculture (PPBC). The Program Pertanian Berkelanjutan Cikananga (PPBC) is a regenerative agriculture initiative based at Cikananga. Established in 2020, PPBC focuses on sustainable food production, soil regeneration, and practical agricultural training.
