About

Carpathian Wildlife Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of West-Carpathian large carnivores in accordance with the needs of people and the latest research findings. The organization promotes research of big mammals in their natural environment. The Carpathian Wildlife Society is filling the gap between nature conservation and applied scientific studies aiming at predators, human wildlife conflicts and efficacy of livestock protection. Conservation biology and applied field studies are heavily underestimated in Slovakia and by the help of small projects, we gain new results and cooperate with all involved stake holders. We are analyzing the data of our radiocollared animals but parallel, try to support shepherds and increase coexistence. Our results are presented in current-content articles, book, brochures, films, but also in the media and on conferences in Slovakia and abroad.
