Project story
Bringing Environmental Education to Life Across India
Imagine a classroom where students learn about their local environment through stories, art, reference books, and by getting involved in hands- on conservation activities. All in their own language. In their own context. For example, learning about seeds and building your own seed bank in school , Learning about weather changes and setting up your own rain guage on a school terrace. Capturing data about local ponds , insects, birds to understanding and conserve local biodiversity. That's exactly what our open-access digital library makes possible.
We've built a vibrant collection of contemporary, peer-reviewed resources designed specifically for place-based environmental education in Indian schools. From biodiversity to sustainable practices, each resource is thoughtfully curated and available in multiple languages—because great learning shouldn't be limited by language barriers.
Our educators are already using these materials to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards. Now, we're ready to scale.
Your support will help us:
Expand our resource collection with fresh, innovative content
Reach environment educators in underserved communities across India
Make ecology fun, relevant, and exciting for every child everywhere
Join us in transforming how young people connect with and care for their environment. And in doing so, let’s build a more hopeful, and caring future for humans and non-humans alike!
