Eternal Forest / Associação Floresta Eterna

Eternal Forest is a Portugal-based NGO creating a global movement and a network of long-term forest sanctuaries where ecosystem restoration, art, culture, community stewardship and legal protection come together. We work with landowners, municipalities, conservation partners, artists, scientists and local communities to regenerate biodiverse landscapes, restore soil and water systems, strengthen climate resilience, and support restoration, education, cultural programming and local stewardship.

Through each sanctuary, we help transform land from an isolated asset into a shared living legacy. Our work combines regenerative ecological design, native and climate-resilient planting, artistic and educational experiences, community governance, and long-term protection agreements. Eternal Forest is building a replicable model for restoring forests while rebuilding the human relationships, skills, stories and local economies needed to care for them across generations.
